Why do people hate the dubs of anime, and why do they always look down on those of us who actually LIKE em?? I just don't understand it. Sure, sometimes the voices are horrible, sure the stories sometimes change and differ, and some are tamed so as to appeal to younger kids, and or at least so they can watch them, but still? Why look down on we who like the dubs?? For some of us that's all we had, and some it holds some good child hood memories. I haven't met many people who love the dubs. A few. But no one I actually know, not really. My friend TIff is an exception cause she hates reading the captions. She prefers the ENGLISH. Don't get me wrong, nothing at all against the japanese versions. But I do love the dubs, mainly. I just don't like it when people look down on you and say that the dubs suck. That's their opinion, just like mine is the dubs rock. End of story. This comes up because I recently joined a tokyo mew mew roleplay site, and one of the "friendly" co admins got on my case for not using the japanese names when I know em, and that she thinks the dub is moronic. Big deal. I don't care if you hate it, just like you don't care that I love it. Glad we understand each other. Meh, I'm sure she's friendly, but the post sounds...rather condescending. Yeah...I'll stop bitching now, I'm sure its annoying. I feel a bit better, not so stupid anymore.
